From the Spanish Steps, only 50 mt. from Hotel Internazionale, one walks through via del Babuino. Akin to New York's Madison Avenue, the street is famous for its numerous antiquarians. On the left, Via Margutta, a pristine corner of the historical center of the Rome of the past, renowned for its handicraft stores, antiquarians and historical art galleries. The next turn is via della Croce, still maintaining the elegant and characteristic atmosphere of the Rome of the 1800s and popular for its fine traditional restaurants. From the Spanish Steps, heading towards via del Corso, one sees via Condotti. Famous all over the world for having the most celebrated fashion stores, via Condotti is the tourists' favorite place for their Roman shopping adventures. Gucci, Armani, Valentino, Trussardi and jewelry shops such as Bulgari and Cartier can be found there. A historical hot spot is the Antico Caffè Greco. Parallel to via Condotti are via Frattina and via Borgognona, where one can find among others Gucci, Roberto Cavalli and Versace stores.
